Germany's national implementation (CIUS) of EN 16931, mandatory for German public-sector buyers since 2020 and the standard format for German B2B e-invoicing. Adds German-specific fields, most famously the Leitweg-ID (a routing number for public buyers) as the buyer reference.
Germany's receiving duty is live since January 2025; issuing phases in 2027-2028.
